DescriptionLocationInstructorsCancellation Policy The Birmingham Association of REALTORS (BAR) requires that all BAR REALTOR members complete the NAR Code of Ethics training every two-years. Cycle # 6 runs from January 1, 2019 until December 31, 2020. The NAR Mandate to complete Code of Ethics training is a requirement of membership to the organization. This class counts towards the NAR mandate. Chris was a teacher for 7 years in public education as well as a coach for 17 years for high school football and wrestling before entering his real estate career in 2002. Once in real estate, Chris gained a vast experience in residential sales, new construction, relocation, and as a broker and owner of a real estate company. Having a passion for education has never left Chris’s blood. He has brought his passion from education together with the passion for real estate and absolutely loves teaching Realtors. Chris walks the walk and talks the talk by educating himself. He holds numerous designations and certifications, as well as has a coaching program he designed and coaches to agents with RealtySouth. CONTINUING EDUCATIONEvery two years a total of fifteen (15) clock hours of continuing education prescribed by the Commission is required for renewal of an active license. These hours must be completed by September 30 of every even year. The fifteen-hour continuing education course requirement is as follows: â€¢ (a) Three (3) clock hours in Risk Management â€“ Level 1 In this level, brokers and salespersons shall take the Risk Management: Avoiding Violations course. â€¢ (b) Three (3) clock hours in Risk Management â€“ Level 2 In this level, brokers and salespersons shall take either the Risk Management for Salespersons course, the Risk Management for Brokers course, or an industry-specific Risk Management course approved by the Commission.â€¢ (c) Nine (9) clock hours in Commission-approved courses.
