This Code of Ethics will be presented both virtually through Zoom and LIVE in the BAR classroom

The Birmingham Association of REALTORS (BAR) requires that all BAR REALTOR members complete the NAR Code of Ethics training every two-years.
Cycle # 6 runs from January 1, 2019 until December 31, 2020.
The NAR Mandate to complete Code of Ethics training is a requirement of membership to the organization.
This class counts towards the NAR mandate.
This class will take place live in the classroom at BAR located at 3501 Independence Drive. Social distancing will be followed and participants must wear a mask.

Please note: Seating for the LIVE class is limited to 40 people maximum to keep in CDC guidelines. If you want to attend the LIVE class, please send an email to to reserve a seat.

Every two years a total of fifteen (15) clock hours of continuing education prescribed by the Commission is required for renewal of an active license. These hours must be completed by September 30 of every even year. The fifteen-hour continuing education course requirement is as follows:

(a) Three (3) clock hours in Risk Managemen Level 1 In this level, brokers and salespersons shall take the Risk Management: Avoiding Violations course.

(b) Three (3) clock hours in Risk Management Level 2 In this level, brokers and salespersons shall take either the Risk Management for Salespersons course, the Risk Management for Brokers course, or an industry-specific Risk Management course approved by the Commission.

(c) Nine (9) clock hours in Commission-approved courses.
